Rental Agreement: By renting a truck or trailer from AJK Hire Pty Ltd, you agree to abide by the terms and conditions.
Booking and Payment: Rental bookings are subject to availability and must be made in advance. Payment for the rental must be made in full prior to the commencement of the rental period. Accepted forms of payment include credit card, debit card, or approved corporate account.
Rental Period: The rental period begins at the agreed-upon pickup time and ends when the rented equipment is returned to the designated drop-off location. Any extension of the rental period must be approved by AJK Hire Pty Ltd and may be subject to additional charges.
Condition of Equipment: The renter acknowledges that they have inspected the rented truck or trailer and found it to be in satisfactory condition at the time of pickup. Any pre-existing damage or issues must be reported to AJK Hire Pty Ltd immediately. The renter agrees to return the equipment in the same condition as it was received, normal wear and tear excepted.
Use of Equipment: The rented truck or trailer is to be used only for its intended purpose and in accordance with all applicable laws and regulations. The renter agrees not to overload the equipment or use it for any illegal or prohibited activities.
Insurance: The renter is responsible for ensuring that the rented equipment is adequately insured for the duration of the rental period. AJK Hire Pty Ltd offers insurance options for an additional fee, which the renter may choose to purchase at their discretion.
Liability: The renter assumes full responsibility for the rented equipment and agrees to indemnify and hold harmless AJK Hire Pty Ltd against any loss, damage, or liability arising from the use or misuse of the equipment during the rental period.
Late Returns: A late fee may be applied for any equipment returned after the agreed-upon drop-off time, unless prior arrangements have been made with AJK Hire Pty Ltd.
Cancellation Policy: Cancellations made within a certain timeframe prior to the scheduled pickup time may be subject to a cancellation fee. The specific cancellation policy will be outlined at the time of booking.
Termination of Rental: AJK Hire Pty Ltd reserves the right to terminate the rental agreement at any time if the renter fails to comply with the terms and conditions herein. In such cases, no refund will be provided, and the renter will be liable for any damages or losses incurred.
Jurisdiction: These terms and conditions are governed by the laws of Queensland, and any disputes arising out of or relating to the rental agreement shall be resolved in the courts of Queensland.
